Give Advice and Become Famous - Become an Internet Star
You can become famous by using video on YouTube. When people look forward to downloading your video to their pods, you suddenly are an expert. So what? Well, you start getting people wanting to visit your site and do business with you.
As just one example, let's take a look at Grammar Girl. Here's a news story about her.
Can you think of something you can give advice about? Could you do it regularly and on time without fail? If so, you may want to consider doing it.
Visit Grammar Girl's Web site. What she's so wisely done is to find a niche. You'd be surprised how many people are really interested in grammar! Thank the gods for that.
Here is another one of her sites. Notice that her Podcasts lead her viewers and listeners to visit her sites and make purchases, get her newsletter, etc. Brilliant marketing!
So find your niche. Develop your production plans. Make sure you can be consistent.
According to The Wall Street Journal:
"Many of the most popular podcasters and video bloggers take a lesson from traditional media and offer new content with a disciplined regularity.
"Shows that are consistent have a tendency to grow more than those that aren't," says Todd Cochrane, a podcaster and founder of RawVoice Inc., which builds podcasting sites for individuals and companies."
So start getting a following. You too can become a star and start getting new business at the same time!

Book Channel Bound for Internet CBS's Simon & Schuster To Launch Author Videos Via YouTube, Other Sites By JEFFREY A. TRACHTENBERG May 8, 2007; Page B8
CBS Corp.'s Simon & Schuster book-publishing arm next month will launch an Internet book channel called Bookvideos.tv that will be hosted on YouTube.com and other video-sharing sites. For an industry constantly held back by scant marketing dollars, the plan represents a new and inexpensive digital way to promote books and try to turn their authors into brands.
The publisher is committed to a flight of 40 videos that will be personality-driven rather than focusing solely on specific new titles. The videos, which be produced by TurnHere Inc., based in Emeryville, Calif., will last two minutes and feature such best-selling authors as Mary Higgins Clark, Zane, and Sandra Brown.
